Can Bike Adapter Bar Work With Electric Bike That Weighs 60-lbs

Question:

I have a Thule Land Rover branded 2inch hitch, hanging bike rack... holds 4 bikes but I will never have more than 2. One will be a Prodeco Stride step through at up to 60#. Will Curt C18016 handle this e-bike? If not, or even if you know a better candidate for this bike, please advise! Thank you!

The bike adapters we offer do not have the weight capacity like you said your bike weighs at about 60-lbs. Most of the adapter bars we offer are around 35-lb capacity. I do have an option for you.

I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE, part # HLY84FR. This is a platform-style bike carrier and it has a weight capacity of 80-lbs per bike. The carrier can handle a tire width of 5-inches and a wheelbase up to 60-inches. This carrier also has locks to secure the bikes to the rack and a locking hitch pin lock to secure the carrier to the back of your Land Rover.
