Installing Bulldog Winch Quick Connect Booster Cables on 2014 Ford Explorer

Question:

I asked my mechanic about mounting a Quick Connect Booster Cable Set onto my Ford Explorer Sport 2014. He was worried that there was a possibility of systems shorting out. Do you think this is a potential problem? Is it a possibility that there could be system problems with any jump starting? Is there a way to isolate or protect the battery from the rest of the car, during the jumping process? An A/B switch, or something? I use jumpers on occasion, but am worried about damaging or shorting out any systems on the car. Any wisdom would be appreciated.

Using the Bulldog Winch Booster Cable Set # BDW20197 on your 2014 Ford Explorer Sport won't be an issue most of the time but you will want to be careful. First of all, as with any type of wiring connections, you will need to keep the quick connector clean and dry at all times. Trying to jump a car with moisture or debris in the connector can cause a problem for you regardless of what vehicle it is.

Using the booster cable set really isn't any different than using jumper cables except for the ease of not having to connect the cables to your Explorer.
