Will Yakima Holdup Bike Carrier With 1-1/4-Inch Shank Work With Hitch Reducer # HT02
Question:
I have a Yakima 1 1/4 shank Holdup bike rack. Was thinking of using the Brophy adapter, HT02. Does the threaded shank pin and lock of the original 1 1/4 shank/receiver work with a 2 inch adapter into a 2 inch receiver?

If you place a hitch adapter like part # HT02 in your 2-inch trailer hitch receiver you will then have a 1-1/4 inch receiver.
The Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack, part # Y02445 is designed to fit 1-1/4 inch receivers and will work just fine in the adapter.
To secure the # HT02 on your trailer hitch I recommend a locking hitch pin like part # e98882.
