Mounting Location for Brake Controller in 2016 Ram 1500

Question:

Where is everyone installing the control unit for the brake controller on 2016 ram? I am trying to decide on mounting location.

The lower section of the dash panel on your 2016 Ram 1500 is where most people are installing brake controllers. We have seen the controller installed to the left of the steering wheel and to the right.

I attached pictures of both examples.

I would go with the right side since it wouldn't be in the way when getting in and out of the truck.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
