Brake Controller Mounting Location on 2010 Toyota Tundra with Knee Airbags
Question:
I have a 2010 toyota tundra double cab with separate bucket style seats, and a center console that has a shifter. There is also airbags on steering wheel, curtain sheild airbags, side airbags from the front seats, and knee airbags. My question is where can I mount a 90195 safely thats not too obtrusive.

From what I have been able to research, I have found a few possible solutions.
You could mount the controller to the right of the airbag door, as shown in the video I will link you to.
Or, you could use the Curt Echo Brake Controller, part # C51180. This controller would plug into the 7-way connector on the vehicle, inline between the vehicle and trailer. The controller is operated by your smartphone using an app.
A second option would be to mount the controller in the dash pocket between the cigarette lighter and the 12-volt power outlet, I have seen photos online of a Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885 that fits perfectly. Some dis-assembly of the dash would be required, as you would need to make a hole in the rear of that pocket to pass the wiring through. If it were my vehicle, this would be my choice.
A final option would be to mount the controller on top of the dash, off to the left would be best so that the wiring could pass along side of the dash where it meets the door.
