Replacing 4-way Trailer Connector with 7-way on 2013 Honda Pilot with Factory Tow Package
Question:
My Pilot came with a four pin harness in place. If I move to a 7 pin, do I have to replace the control box and wiring or just the wiring leading to the plug under the auto? Thanks

To replace your 4-way with a 7-way on your 2013 Honda Pilot you can leave the converter box and relay harness. You'll need to cut off the existing 4-way and install a 7way connector like # HM47210.
If you're looking for a 7-way that will plug in to the existing wiring instead of the 4-way, you can get the wiring harness kit # 118265 and only use the 7-way harness. It would be must easier installation of the 7way. However, this harness is only sold with the entire kit and not individually.
If you'd like to mount the 7-way onto your Pilot you can use the mounting bracket # C57202. This is a universal bracket so you'll need to determine where on your car you'll want to place it.
