Recommendation for a Dual Purpose Ball Mount with a Rise for a Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier

Question:

i need a hitch riser for my cargo carrier my hitch is only 12 inches off of the ground and I am afraid the cargo carrier will drag on inclines I have a class III hitch and my cargo carrier wieghs 85# and I am going to haul a snow blower approx 250#

What you can use is a dual receiver like # D210 which is designed for towing/cargo. This ball mount has a receiver with a 6 inch rise and a tongue weight capacity of 750 pounds. The receiver portion itself has a 350 lb capacity. You will need to make sure the hitch on your vehicle is rated for the load you want to carry.

The Roadmaster High-Low Hitch Adapter, # RM-048-6, and other similar adapters are designed for use with tow bars only, so I do not recommend using them for this application.
