Can a Sidewinder Be Used to Tow Cougar 324RLB with 2001 Ford F-350 Short Bed

Hi i have a cougar 324rlb i would like to pull it with my 2001 F350 that has a short bed on it i was thinking of putting a sidewinder pin box on the trailer will that work with that trailer or do i need a put a slider hitch in thanks

Replacing your Cougar 5th wheel camper's pin box with a Sidewinder will work well for you to tow the camper with your short bed 2001 Ford F-350. The Sidewinder will move the pivot point of your trailer back 22 inches to provide you the necessary clearance to make sharp turns. Changing to a Sidewinder pin box allows you to easily make these turns, rather than needing to get in and out of the truck to adjust the sliding hitch. With a Sidewinder, you can use a fixed 5th wheel hitch and a custom or universal wedge to secure the king pin.
Traditionally, people go with a sliding hitch because they are more cost effective or because a Sidewinder replacement is not available for their trailer's pin box.
