Recommended Kayak Carrier For 2014 Ford Edge SEL With Factory Roof Rack
Question:
Trying to find the right carrier for my Dagger Axis 10.5 kayak. Have Ford rails and Ford elliptical rack. Presently using J cradles but it keeps tipping over no matter how tight the straps are. also using towing lines. Prefer something that allows kayak to sit on hull vs side. But, also need something that makes loading kayak fairly easy since its 50 lbs. and I may not always have help.

The kayak carrier I recommend for your 2014 Edge is the Thule DockGlide Rooftop Kayak Carrier System, part # TH896. Per Thule, this system will work with your crossbars on the roof of your Edge.
This is a hull-mounted carrier makes loading and unloading much easier. This carrier has a weight capacity of 75-lbs.
