1993 Chevrolet P30 Trailer Hitch Option

Question:

Hey I saw your previous post about the proper hitch for the 1993 Chevrolet P30 chassis shown here: https://www.etrailer.com/question-13015.html. It look like the Reece hitch 41940 is no longer being manufactured. Is there another option or Can I use the Draw-Tite Class IV weld on hitch 41990-16 instead? Thanks

For an RV application the # 41990-16 is an option as this is a great multi-fit hitch typically used for service body trucks. Since we know that the P30 chassis has 34 inches between the frame rails this hitch should fit just fine since it has 16 inch drop brackets that can weld anywhere on the 44 inch wide crossbeam of the hitch.

If you needed a hitch with less drop in the mounting brackets the part # 41990-07 has a bracket height of 7 inches instead.

I'm looking for a front mount trailer hitch that will fit a 92 P30 service body that has a 28-inch width frame at the front

There aren't any custom front hitches available for your 1992 P30, so your beset option will be a universal setup like the Curt # C13702. The brackets can be adjusted to fit frame widths between 18" and 51".
