Recommended ST205/75R15 Sized Trailer Tire to Replace P205/65R15

Question:

My trailer that I use to haul my golf cart has P205/65R15 tires now and I need to replace these. I am looking at the provider ST205/75R15. Is this a good replacement? If not what would you recommend? Thanks

The Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with Load Range C # TTWTRTM2057515C is a great replacement tire for you. The existing tires on your trailer are designed for use on passenger vehicles, so I highly recommend changing them out for trailer tires. Trailer tires have stiffer sidewalls which do a better job dealing with the vertical loads experienced by a trailer.

The only issue you may run into is the clearance since the new tire is 27.1 inches in diameter and your old tire is 25.5 inches. You'll want to make sure you still have about 4-1/2 inches of clearance between the tire tread and the underside of the trailer's wheel wells to allow for movement of the trailer while going over bumps in the road.

If you're interested in a replacement tire and wheel combo, I've attached a link to all of our size ST205/75-15, load range C, radial tire and wheel combo's for you.
