Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2014 Chevy Impala

Question:

The rear of the wheelchair carrier is only about 2 inches off the pavement. I have been looking at your Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension. Is that my best bet or do you suggest something else? The entire weight, carrier and wheelchair is about 175 pounds.

If the wheelchair carrier is only 2 inches off the ground when it is loaded that would most likely indicate that the hitch setup has a pretty nasty downward bend or the suspension is completely maxed out.

Suspension enhancement like the part # CSS-1125R (which is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Chevy Impala) will help with the suspension. But you really need to make sure that you aren't overloading the hitch. If you can send me a picture of the setup with it loaded that would help a lot for me to know if the problem is suspension or a hitch with too much stress on it.

Typically carriers for wheelchairs aren't used on sedans since the hitches aren't normally rated high enough so that makes me think the problem is not just the suspension.
