Wiring Brake Controller to a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter Passenger van w/ Factory Tow Kit
Question:
I was told by my local Sprinter dealer the wiring is already run fro the factory 7 pin connector on the back to the battery box under the seat. He did not tell me what parts I needed, as they wanted to do the install. Anyone know what special connector I would need to connect the Prodigy to the sprinter with the factory connector?

Under the seat of your 2015 Mercedes Sprinter there should be a harness with a green connector. That will be the brake controller harness. We don't have an adapter that plugs right in but you can cut the connector off and hardwire directly to the wires. We have some info on the wiring colors of your vehicle but I would recommend you test them with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 first.
Attach the red wire on the controller to the black wire with the brown stripe on the wiring harness. The black wire on the controller would attach to the red/yellow wire on the harness. Attach the blue brake controller wire to the black wire with the blue stripe on the harness, and the white controller wire attaches to the brown wire on the harness.
