Recommended Air Helper Springs for a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Question:

I have a 2010 Chev 2500 HD with the Duramax and carry a camper 2600 lbs and are considering these springs. My truck drives and handles well with the camper on. Only concern I have is with the sag in the rear of about 3 inches. Will these help to alleviate some of this sag. Id rather not go to air bags as I understand that will introduce a sway concern. Thanks for any feedback

The Firestone Work-Rite Custom Helper Springs Kit # F2250 will certainly reduce the spring sag that you're experiencing when carrying your camper with your 2010 Chevrolet Silverado. It will work with both 2 Wheel Drive and 4 Wheel Drive models. It'll minimize the sway you're also concerned about. You'll feel confident that next time a big rig or gust of wind comes along because of the stabilization this kit offers. Air bag systems are commonly used in these types of setups, but there have been a few complaints over the years about unwanted sway and bounce with truck bed campers and cost more by the way. Keep in mind that this kit is manufactured to work with suspension systems in good working order and will not increase the carrying capacity of your truck.
