The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller - Proportional, part # 90885, would be an excellent choice for a brake controller on your 2010 Dodge Ram 2500. It is one of our top sellers and I highly recommend it.
The # 90885 levels automatically so your flat mounting location would work perfectly.
In order to install the # 90885 you will need to install a Tekonsha Brake Control Adapter - 2010 Dodge # 3021-P, into the brake controller harness that is underneath your dash on the driver side just to the left of the steering column. If your truck has a factory 7-way, the brake controller can easily be installed with the included vehicle specific wiring adapter; no other parts are necessary.
I have included a link to an installation video for the # 90885 on a vehicle that is similar to your Ram.
