Troubleshooting Roadmaster Even Brake that Shows Brakes on Car are Engaged for Saturn Vue

Question:

when i tow my Saturn Vue behind my motorhome i get error message saying the brakes on the car are still engaged after braking. i pull over to check and find everything ok. i have to unplug the even brake system and reboot it to clear the error message then i get it again the next time i have to apply the brakes. the even brake unit is positioned correctly on the floor board of the car and the extension arm the hooks on the brake pedal is fully retracted when unit is not energized, how can i correct this situation?

I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster and he told me that the Saturn Vues (specifically the 2008-2010 models) are known for the problem you described. He said the issue is that the stoplight switch on your brake pedal assembly is sticky and what you need to do is spray some silicone lubricant on the moving parts of the assembly to ensure that the switch doesn't get stuck.
