Fit and Compatibility of Stromberg Landing Gear Replacing Stromberg # LG-1 Currently on Fifth Wheel
Question:
I have a 2010 Cougar 5th Wheel Model 278RKS. I have measured the brackets according to the diagram on your website and they measure 15 1/2inch outside. The shipping weight of the 5th wheel is 7198 lbs. I was having trouble with the gear raising. It was making clacking noises, so I replaced the gear box with LG-179015. This improved to steady raising and eliminated the clacking noise. However, it now raises very slowly and stops at times. Can I replace the landing gear with LG-18370, and transfer the existing motor.

Yes, according to your outer bracket dimensions the Stromberg # LG-1 can be replaced with the Stromberg # LG-183708.
You will be able to transfer your existing motor as well.
