I took my westin bar off my 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 will it fit on a 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 and if so what mounting brackets will I need

We carry a Westin Sportsman Grille Guard that fits a 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500, but it would not be what you have on your 2015 nor is there a hardware kit that would adapt it. The guards and the hardware are both designed for specific vehicles.
You would need the part # 45-2270 as it is a confirmed fit. Or for black part # 40-2275.
