Question:
looking at buying a used 2011 Ford 350. is there any way to check the integrated brake system for correct operation without hooking a trailer to it to see if the braking system works? there is a plug that will check for lights but not brake.

When looking to check an integrated brake control system for correct operation, I recommend using a Tekonsha 7-Way Trailer Emulator Blade Style Connector, # 6562. This tool has simple function codes to let you know what is working or not working in your system. I've attached some videos of this tool for you.
