Shank Recommendation for Use with Reese Weight Distribution System part # RP66130

Question:

I am looking for help in selecting the proper shank for my weight Distribution system. I am purchasing WD system RP66130. I would like the shank to meet same weight parameters as the system. I am using a 2inch receiver and need a 1.5inch rise. Also, do I need to be concerned with the length of the shank as I notice the lengths vary. Thanks,

For a shank to use with the Reese Weight Distribution System part # RP66130 that you referenced the part # RP54970 would work perfectly. This will do the 1-1/2 inches of rise that you need and has more than enough capacity at 15k overall towing capacity.

The shank bar length of this is 12-1/4 inches but that dimension is not one that normally causes any issues.
