You can install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller with Wiring # 90885-22292 on your 2010 Ford F-150, but it will not install in the pocket in the dash of your vehicle like the Ford factory brake controller. Ford does not allow the manufacturer of their OEM Ford factory brake controller to produce an aftermarket version. The aftermarket brake controllers will need to be mounted under the dash.
I am sending a video link that will show the Prodigy P2 brake controller being installed on a 2010 Ford F-150. This video will show where the brake controller port is located and how to install the brake controller under the dash. Also, I am sending a link to the installation instructions for the # 22292 wiring harness.
If you have the Ford factory brake controller in your truck now and want to replace it with an aftermarket brake controller, you can do this by unplugging the factory unit and plug in the aftermarket unit. When you do this it will give set off an error code on your dash. You will have to go to the Ford dealer and have the vehicles computer flashed to remove the error code.
