Which Wiring Harness Do I Need for Jeep Cherokee 2001 to Hook A Rockwood Freedom Camper With 6-Way

Question:

I have a Rockwood Freedom pop up with a square plug that has 3 male prongs at the top and the bottom going from left to right is a female x blank x male. Is this considered a six way plug. The kits I have seen that custom fit my jeep show a flat four way plug. Can you give me your part number for the custom fit harness that requires no splicing and the adaptor. I would like to order these items right away.

The item you selected, Adapter 4 Way Flat to 6 Way Square for Jayco, part # 30104 may work, but the wire functions may be incorrect, and would require you to wire the adapter by function using circuit tester, part # PTW2993.

I would recommend changing your vehicle and trailer wiring to 6-Way Round. For your Jeep you will need, Adapter 4 Pole to 6 Pole and 4 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter, part # 37175. Then, for your trailer, you will need Pollak 6-Pole, Round Pin, Trailer Wiring Connector - Trailer End, part # PK11604. Again for hooking up, part # 37175 and part # Pk11604, you will need to use a circuit tester, item # PTW2993, to connect the correct wire functions.

I have linked a pin out that shows how the wiring on a 6-way is connected and have also linked an FAQ on wiring that may be of good reference.
