Is a Small Amount of Play in the Thule Bike Frame Adapter Bar TH982XT Normal
Question:
Car is 2015, Chrysler town and country. Just bought thule 982XT. Bike to use it on is Specialized Crossroads. Tried to get a picture in , but no luck. Bar seems loose with it telescoped. Will this cause a problem? Also, one end seems wider than the other. I did not see any directions as to which end goes under seat and which goes under handlebar. Please help. Thanks,

Your setup sounds just fine. The adapter bar part # TH982XT will have a bit of play in it but it will not cause any problems.
The ends of the bars do have different sizes. Typically it's the steering stem that requires the wider portion but as long as you get both the seat post and stem secured either way will work fine.
