Mounting a Tekonsha Primus in a 2011 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4 dr I dont see any good location for mounting the unit under the dash. It is all plastic with no flat surfaces.

I have examined interior photos of the 2011 Tacoma, and it appears that the Primus could be mounted either just to the left or right underneath the steering column, to the plastic under dash trim.
The Primus can be mounted in an orientation up to 70 degrees nose up, so even though that lower dash portion is not flat, the controller should mount to that area with no problem. You will want to be sure that the controller is installed so that it is parallel to the direction of travel.
