Availability of 4-Way Wishbone Wiring Harness with Shorter Wire Lead
Question:
I was looking at the Optronics 35 ft. Wishbone 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness with 42inch Ground Wire. This has 5 wires from 4 pins. Do you carry just the connector end without the entire 35ft of wiring? Optronics or other manufacturer . I dont need all the wiring, just the connector with an 18inch + tail on it. Thank you for yor reply

The wishbone harness with the shortest amount of wire lead has 20 feet of wire and a 30 inch ground wire, the Optronics 20 Foot Wishbone 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness # A20WB. I wish we had a shorter option for you but our manufacturers don't offer a wishbone harness with a shorter lead. I double checked with Optronics and the 20 ft lead is the shortest they offer with a wishbone harness.
If you'd rather use a connector with a shorter lead, the connector with a lead closest to the 18 inches you referenced is the Hopkins 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector with LED Test Lights # HM48133. The # HM48133 offers a 2 foot wiring lead. This is not a wishbone harness, but could be connected to your existing split wiring if a quick-splice connector # SWC502905-1 is used to connect the 2 taillight wires before the taillight wire is connected to the 4-Way harness.
From a cost perspective, the wishbone 4-Way flat connector with 20 feet of wire is nearly the same as the standard 4-Way flat with only a 2 foot lead.
