Upgrade Pro Series 750 lb Tongue Weight System to 1,000 lbs Tongue Weight

Question:

According to the manufacturer/brochure specs, I have a 600 lb tongue weight rating on my 2016 Keystone Hideout 27rbwe. My distribution system is rated for a 750 lb tongue weight. Assuming Hideout doesnt include two 30lb propane tanks and a battery in the tongue weight, I should probably add another 160 lbs to the 600 lb rating. If I add another couple hundred pounds of gear in the back of my 2011 F150 and in the front storage compartment on the trailer, then Im roughly 960. Will this weight render my 750 lb tow bars useless? Should I upgrade to a 1000lb system? Thanks!

If you are looking at 960 lbs of tongue weight a 750 lb rated system like the part # PS49582 is going to be ineffective. If you are sure you wouldn't exceed 1,000 lbs you would need the part # PS49583 instead. This is the 1,000 lb tongue weight system.

To upgrade your Pro Series part # PS49582 to a setup with a tongue weight range of 750 to 1,000 lbs you would need to change the bars to # PS58441.

These will simply replace your current bars and you would be good to go.
