Powered Trailer Jack Recommendation for Best Ground Clearance Under Trailer Frame
Question:
I have a new RPOD trailer with the jack swing up extension. Nice idea however there is not enough clearance getting into my driveway so I removed the extension. Now I clear by 1inch or so. This is probably not enough clearance if we load the p.u. with more stuff. The JET-3555 is for a much larger heavier trailer than the RPOD. I need the least amount of extension below the frame for the replacement electric jack. The JET-3555 with the 6inch retracted fits the bill. Do you have a jack that is rated closer to the RPOD weight....2000lb lift.

I wouldn't let the higher capacity of the Lippert Jack part # JET-3555 deter you from using it. Having more capacity than needed for a trailer jack is actually a good thing as it will allow the jack to last longer and operate quicker. It's retracted bracket height is 6-3/4 inches so it would work well for you in that regard plus it's priced great so it really would be your best option.
