Double Pull Out Step Recommendation for Trailer with 350 lb Capacity and is 24 inches Wide
Question:
I am looking to replace the single step on my 2016 Crossroads Z-1 Lite 18SS with a double step. My trailer has a 24inch Lippert single step, so my thought was the double step would be a bolt on replacement, but now I am concerned about the weight rating, since I am 62inch and 300lbs. While comparing the Flexco to the Lippert, I notice the weight rating is much greater on the Flexco. They dont appear to be all that different as far as material thickness goes to warrant an almost 150lbs. difference in weight capacity. Is the weight rating a typo? The Flexco would need some modification since the pins that stick out the sides wont fit into the box where my current steps are mounted.

If you need a double step with a 350 lb capacity you would need to go with the Flexco Step part # SMFP-2100 which is 24 inches wide like you would need. I know this isn't your ideal solution since it requires modifying your mounting location but the single steps and double steps are very different in their mounting locations. You will want the outriggers # LC301704 to mount the steps.
