Recommended Ball Mount for Trailer That Is Further From My Vehilce
Question:
I have CURT Manufacturing 122411 Class 2 Trailer Hitch, and on my Hyundai Tucsun 2016. The problem I have the ball is close to my bumper and fear if hook up trailer it could damage the vehicle if I turn. Any help?

Good news, I can help.
What you will want to do is get a different ball mount. The current ball mount that you have # C45571 has a length of 7-1/4" from center of hitch pin hole to center of ball hole and a rise of 2-5/8" (from top of inside of hitch opening to start of vertical curve). It also has a 1-7/8" ball.
I recommend getting the 9-1/4" long # C45520 ball mount and 1-7/8" # C40001 ball.
This ball mount setups will give you the clearance from the bumper you need to tow your trailer without being concerned it may damage the vehicle. To pick out the best ball mount height for your vehicle and trailer, we have a Help Article that I've attached to this page for you to check out.
