Is Husky Center Line Weight Distribution System A Good Fit For 700-Lbs Tongue Weight
Question:
Tow v, 2004 Silverado 150. Factory tow package. Trailer 7 x 14-enclopsed cargo 7000 GVW expected TW 700LBS. I will weigh each item as I load and I have a TW scale.

When choosing a weight distribution system you want the total tongue weight to be close to the middle of the range for the system you use. When you said your expected tongue weight is going to be 700-lbs you need to remember that you need the tongue weight of the fully-loaded trailer added to the weight of any cargo placed behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. If that combined weight is 700-lbs then the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution, part # HT32217 would work well for you.
If you find the total tongue weight is more than 700-lbs I recommend a system like part # EQ37100ET. This has a tongue weight capacity between 600 and 1000 lbs. It also has a 4-point sway control built in.
