Way to Add Trailer Lights to etrailer Motorcycle Carrier e98873
Question:
I have looked all over the internet called the dealership and still do not know what the tongue weight is on a 2012 F 150 supercab with the towing package. Im trying to purchase the boss K2 TMC 201 I need to know how to put brake lights on it

Expert Reply:
The towing capacities for a 2012 Ford F-150 range from 5,500 to 9,400 lbs depending on how it is equipped. The tongue weight capacity would then be 10 percent of the overall capacity so your truck would have a tongue weight capacity from 550 to 940 lbs most likely.
We have a light kit that could possibly be made to work on the # e98873, part # 98174LED. You would need a pair of brackets as well for mounting the lights below the carrier. For that you would need part # BK70BB.
