Will Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18150 Allow 2016 GMC Canyon Tailgate to Open and Clear
Question:
I am trying to determine if I will be able to lower the tailgate on my 2016 GMC Canyon without hitting the carrier. Can you provide the applicable measurements? Maybe the height from the top of the draw bar, before the bend, to the top of the rail? Thank you.

With the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18150 installed on a similar 2015 Chevy Colorado as yours we found that the tailgate was able to be opened and not hit the cargo carrier. Check out the review video I attached that shows this.
Your GMC Canyon would have the exact same setup so it would clear.
