Effects of Sidewinder on Pin Weight Exerted on 2001 Ford F250

Question:

How will a 22 inch extension affect the loading factor of my trailer/truck? It seems to me that it will add more weight to my truck, and I cant stand any more. Already to the max now. Truck: 2001 Ford F250 Superduty Crew Cab, 7.3 diesel 5th wheel: 2009 Sunnybrook, Bristol Bay Model 3510RE. 36 ft, 11 in 11,800lbs per scale. Thanks

Using the Sidewinder will not increase the pin weight exerted on the vehicle by the trailer. The Sidewinder simply relocates the pivot point between the trailer and the vehicle from the point where the king pin locks into the jaws of the fifth wheel hitch to the point where the turret attaches to the trailer. This provides more clearance between the front of the fifth wheel and the rear of the truck cab.
