Would the Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier # M2200 Clear Factory Bumper of 2017 Ford Explorer
Question:
I recently purchased a 2017 Ford Explorer with a Ford trailer hitch. I measured from the center of pin hole to the outer edge of bumper which is 2 inches. My question is, when installed properly, could the M2200 cargo carrier back panel ever come in contact with the back of vehicle.

The Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier # M2200 that you referenced would fit and clear your bumper by 2 inches. The distance from it's hitch pin hole to the nearest edge of the carrier is 4 inches. Since you have 2 inches from the pin hole to the outside of the bumper you would have 2 inches of clearance.
