Winch Recommendation for Use as Ceiling Hoist for Loading Heavy Kayak

I purchased a yakima rack and roll trailer from you. I need to carry a kayak that weights 230 lbs. The problem is getting the kayak onto the trailer. Do you have some kind of winch solution that will fit on the yakima trailer? Thank you.

The Dutton-Lainson Worm Gear Winch, # DL11001, will work great to hoist your 230 lb boat. The hex head allows you to use either the included handle or a heavy-duty 1/2 inch drill.

Worm gear winches are great for hoisting objects because they do not have a free wheel option and the load cannot reverse the direction of the winch.

For wire rope you would need the part # DL24100.
