Can etrailer.com Electric Brake Assemblies be Used on a Boat Trailer

I am looking to replace my old hydraulic brakes on my boat trailer. Would this electric brake work in a fresh water application?

While it's not the best idea to use electric brake assemblies on a trailer that is going to be backed into water more and more boat trailer manufacturers are equipping their trailers with electric brakes and they are working just fine.
We still recommend you unplug the trailer wiring before you back the trailer into the water to prevent any potential shorts.
