Size of Hole Saw to Use to Install the Recessed Trailer D-Ring Tie Down RR5K

Question:

I am installing the D rings in an enclosed trailer. The video states using a 3 1/4 inch hole saw blade to cut the hole into the plywood floor and then use a file bit to cut out a little more of the hole for the internal bolts of the d ring. I noticed the hole in the backing plate is actually 3 1/2 inch in diameter. Is that an error in the video or should you use a 3 1/4 inch hole saw blade... Will the d ring actually seat in the whole from the top side using a 3 1/4 in blade?? I have purchased the 3 1/4 inch blade to use but if I need a bigger size I want to return it before I use it and get the correct size. Thanks,

The 3-1/4 inch diameter hole to install the part # RR5K is the correct dimension to use. We actually even had a customer come back and say they did it with a 3 inch hole saw.

I attached a link to the install video you mentioned as well.
