Do Crossbar Straps of Darby Extend-A-Truck Roof Rack Interfere with Door Seals

Question:

How do the straps the connect the cab roof bar and supports fit into the truck cab doors. Are the problems with leaks around the door seals with the strap? It would seem that the straps compromise the door seal integrity regarding leaks and wind noise.

The straps of the crossbars of the Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier # DTA944-968-924 that you referenced get shut in the doors of the truck they are installed in. They are thin enough that there is no issue with water getting in or wind noise. The door seals are soft enough that they form around the straps and prevent any water from getting in.
