Recommended Replacement Spring Bars For Pro Series Weight Distribution System For New Trailer
Question:
A few years ago I purchased a pro series weight distribution hitch with sway control PS49901. This is rated for 10,000 GTW and 550lbs TW. First let me say it has been great and your customer service when I purchased it was great. However, I am now upgrading me to a larger travel trailer. It is 6800 lbs loaded trailer weight 5455 unloaded which should be fine, but the dry hitch weight is 580lbs. So I have 2 questions. Knowing I will be loading the trailer should I be going with the 750lbs TW distribution hitch or the 1000lbs? Also, since I have all the parts is there a way to purchase just the appropriate weight distribution springs or so I have to purchase a whole lot?

Since you have the # PS49901 weight distribution system already, you can just update the spring bars for your new trailer.
I recommend the Replacement Round Bars, part # PS58441. These are for tongue weight up to 1000-lbs and will work great for the added tongue weight you said you are going to have.
