Cable-Type Snow Tire Chains Fit for 2016 Toyota Prius V

Question:

I am interested in Snow Cable for Subject Vehicle. I live in Sacramento and once a year I go to Lake Tahoe in October for Fishing. Occasionally it would snow but if it is too deep I dont drive in it. If it did snow, the maximum distance I probably would drive is 5 miles up a grade and down. Your website shows the PW1034 as the Snow Cable for my vehicle. When I go to Amazon it says this cable is not suitable for my vehicle. Please explain. Is the PW1034 the correct size for my vehicle? By the way 3 years ago I purchased 3 years ago I purchased your PW1038 for my 2013 Prius V. It fits perfectly, so far I have not had to use it.

Expert Reply:

If your Prius V has the 205/60-16 tires, the Glacier Chains # PW1034 is a confirmed fit. If you have the 215/50-17 tires, you'd want to use the # PW1038 which is a confirmed fit.

Be sure to consult your owner's manual and abide by any recommendations Toyota has regarding tire chain use. If you click the provided links, you can view a video showing how the chains install and some helpful FAQ articles about tire chains.
