Only Running Lights are Working on Trailer with Multi-Tow Adapter
Question:
We have a 2013 Nissan Armada with a tow package and bought the Hopkins 47570 because the vehicle has a 7 blade and our boat trailer has a 5pin flat connection. We know the trailer lights are good because they work fine on our other vehicle, but only the running lights work when hooked up to the Armada. We have tried the time run signals and the brake lights, but the trailer lights just stay constantly on.

To find the solution to your problem you may need to check a few things. Your 2013 Nissan Armada needs to have two relays for your left and right turn signals and brake lights # C57000 in order for them to work so you will need to check these. There's a video attached of the Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Nissan Titan. If you watch this video and skip forward to 1:17 it will show you the relays and where they are. If you do not have them, you will need to get some.
If that isn't the issue, then you will want to test the trailer connector of your Armada with a circuit tester like # PTW2993. There's a video attached of this in use as well to test your connector. You will want to do this without having the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47570 that you purchased attached.
If everything on the trailer connector of the Armada tests out, then connect the adapter and test. If it does not pass at this point, you most likely have a defective adapter.
