7-Way and Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2012 Toyota RAV4

Hello - about 2 years ago I installed the following to my RAV4 incl the main wire to the battery == 2012 Toyota RAV4 Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Now I need a 7-pin connector and for that I have purchased this from you == T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Flat Trailer Connectors. How do I connect one with the other ? thanks

To convert your Curt 4-way harness part # C56165 that you have on your 2012 Toyota RAV4 you would need to go a different route than the part # 118262 that you referenced as it is not a confirmed fit for your vehicle.

You would want the part # 37185 if your trailer does not have brakes.

If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
