Recommended Tow Bar and Base Plate Kit to Flat Tow 2009 Cadillac Escalade that Weighs + 7,000lbs
Question:
Tow bars are rated by weight. My falcon 2 tow bar is rated for 6,000 ibs. Is this the weight of the car being towed or the pull against the hitch. I am trying to determine if this tow bar will work for a 2009 cadillac Escalade Hydrid. Weight 7000 lbs +

I have a solution for you but your current tow bar that is rated at 6,000lbs capacity is for the weight of the vehicle being towed.
Instead I would recommend the 10,000lb capacity Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-422 for your 2009 Cadillac Escalade. I have linked a review video of this tow bar for you to check out.
If you don't already have base plates for your Escalade Hybrid, I recommend the Roadmaster # 3154-1 which will be compatible with the BlackHawk 2 with no extra adapters.
It's important to note that you will want to consult your owners manual before flat towing, in my research I found that it is not recommended to flat tow all-wheel-drive Escalades by the manufacturer.
Some other items to consider when flat towing are:
a Breaking system like # SM99251
a set of safety cables like # RM-653
a Wiring Kit # RM-152
a 6-way round vehicle end connector # PK12720
a 12 volt outlet kit # RM-9332
and possibly a High/low adapter, I have added a link of all our high/low adapters
I have linked all the above mentioned products to this page as well as some Help Articles on flat towing for your viewing and purchasing convenience.
