Recommended Replacement Pin Box For 1998 Trailer With Fabex 520 Pin Box

I have a 98 Excel with a Fabex MDL 520, Md. pin box. Weight is under 18K. I would like to change from Md to long Can you provide me with a part # and cost for this conversion please? Thank you,

The replacement pin box I recommend for your Excel trailer is the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret, part # RP61412. This moves the pivot point back 22 inches for extra clearance when executing turns. With this system you also get the benefit of the extended pivot point and the cushioned ride with the air spring. .

Before going to a long pin box on your trailer you may want to check with the trailer manufacturer. Installing an extended pin box puts more stress on the trailer frame so it is really not recommended.
