Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2005 Ford F-150 5-1/2 ft Bed

Question:

I have a Atwood ab-34 pin box on my trailer. The trailer is a 22foot komfort 5th wheel 1998. I have a 2005 Ford F-150 with the 5.5 box. Is there a side winder product orpart that I can use with a 5th wheel plate to move the trailer back 22inch or so?

The Atwood AB-34 is a tube style pin box which means there are no Sidewinders available that will fit it. I do have a solution though.

Since you have a 5-1/2 foot bed there is one slider on the market that can slide back and provide enough clearance. The Demco Hijacker part # DM8550041 can slide 22-1/2 inches automatically so it would be a great solution.

Then for a fifth wheel rail kit confirmed as a fit you would want the part # RP50081-58 which is a custom fit rail kit for you truck that will provide you with industry standard fifth wheel rails compatible with the Demco.
