2015 Honda Odyssey Transmission Cooler and Hitch Recommendation for Cargo Carrier

Question:

I am going to put s hitch on my odyssey and noticed I would need a transmission cooler to tow properly without overheating my transmission - I would only tow occasionally - what I need it for is to put a cargo box on the back- going to Disney with 6 people and luggage from east Texas. How big of transmission cooler would I actually need. And on the install of that cooler its my understanding that only the cold transmission line would be disconnected and hooked straight to the new cooler while the unconnected line would be mated to the other hose coming from the new cooler- is that correct?

For a transmission cooler for your 2015 Honda Odyssey the Derale part # D13503 is going to fit and work well. It is pretty large at 11" Wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep but we installed it on a 2013 Odyssey and found that it worked well. I attached the install video that shows this.

You are correct in the routing of the fluid through the cooler as well.

For a trailer hitch I would recommend the Draw Tite hitch part # 75270 as it is a confirmed fit and does not require the use of a stabilizer strap with non-supported loads like the Curt hitches require.
