Which Hitch Do I Need For The 2010 Mini Cooper S And Is Cutting Required To Install

Hi, I would like to install a trailer hitch to my Mini Cooper S. Does the S use the same part as the regular cooper thats in your video? Do you have a video to install it on the S? The S style has a black valience thatll need to be cut for the hitch to be shown. It does not have a part/opening to pop out. Thanks,

There is a different model hitch available for the Mini Cooper S. For your 2010 Mini Cooper S you will need the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 11130. A draw bar, hitch pin and clip are also included with part # 11130 from Curt.

To install part # 11130 you will need to cut a hole in the black trim piece on the center of the bumper cover out that is large enough for the 1-1/4 inch receiver to fit through, as show in the video.

For a hitch ball, you will need either 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19256, or 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19258 depending on coupler size of trailer.

For a wiring kit, you will need the Curt PWM Powered Converter, part # 56200 to hook up lights if towing a trailer.
