Compatibility of Reese Round Tube Fifth Wheel Slider w/ Reese RP30156 5th Wheel Rail Adapter
Question:
I just purchased a new Ford 350 HD with factory installed 5th wheel mounts. I want to use my current Reese slider hitch Model # 30047A. I read somewhere that this adapter will not work with round slider rails.

The # RP30047 is a stationary fifth wheel hitch, so you'll need to figure out the part number of the slider unit you have. If it's an # RP50042, it will be compatible with the # RP30156 rail adapter. If you have the now discontinued # RP50008, it is NOT compatible with the # RP30156.
I've provided a photo showing the two different slider units.
