Can the Mirror Face of the Towing Mirror KS3891 Rotate Vertically

Question:

K-Source Universal Towing Mirror - Clip On - KS3891 I recently purchased these mirrors and want to rotate them from a horizontal to a vertical position. They seem to require a great deal of force. I dont want to break the mirrors. Is there a trick to rotate the mirrors.

The mirror face on the part # KS3891 can rotate vertically if you wanted it to. I attached a picture that shows the mirror in that orientation. The mirror adjustments are designed to be very stiff since there isn't a housing behind the mirror to protect the wind from moving it. Remove or loosen the screw behind the mirror (see pic) and then it will turn easier.
