Width of Headache Rack on Detail K2 Flip Rack

Question:

What is the width at the top of the headache rack between the two end points? I have two kayaks that I usually put side by side and would like to make sure that both will fit.

The distance between the endpoints on the headache rack of the Detail K2 Flip Rack, # K2TFR150, is 36 inches or 3 ft. (see attached diagram) The rear crossbar is 51 inches wide and this system has a weight capacity of 500 lbs.
